Thamarr Griffith

Thamarr Griffith is a MedTech executive, former global CEO, and board director with 27 years of experience commercializing medical technologies, growing global businesses, and driving record financial performance. As worldwide CEO and board director of Volk Optical, she held full P&L responsibility for a business serving more than 150 countries and delivered record revenues and profits, including 12.4% profit growth.

She deployed robotics, navigation, and enabling technologies in the billion-dollar orthopedic market across Stryker, DePuy Synthes, and Mako Surgical. At Ethicon, she led the global commercialization of three capital equipment and disposable general surgery devices across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa. At J&J Corporate, she developed hospital contracting strategies and models across Johnson & Johnson MedTech operating companies.

At Lifecor, a cardiac startup company, she developed and executed the commercial approach for the world’s first wearable cardiac defibrillator, supporting revenue growth before and following its acquisition by ZOLL Medical. Her market development experience also includes virtual care and remote patient monitoring technology. Earlier in her career, she launched pharmaceuticals and sold biologics in leading New York City hospitals.

At Grifco Strategy + Capital, she helps MedTech companies turn innovation into commercial results through market entry, commercialization, and growth strategy. She strengthens investment readiness, works with investors to evaluate new opportunities, and helps improve portfolio company performance.

Her experience also includes board and advisory roles. She served as faculty for Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses and holds an MBA from the University of Cincinnati and a BBA from Florida International University.
